B.Tech Electrical Engineering: What is it About?

Admission Process


To get admission in engineering colleges, first of all student should be 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics. After that the student can attempt entrance exam or they can get direct admission also. After clearing the entrance exam, counselling will be done and the eligible candidate will be selected. And, if the student is getting direct admission then selection will be done on the basis of merit list or management quota.

Direct Admission- Engineering institutes which offer direct admission have certain criteria for admission. Either they offer admission on the basis of merit in qualifying exam i.e. 10+2 or equivalent or there are some management seats reserved in private engineering colleges. For management quota the fee structure is generally higher than others

Direct Admission for Diploma holders- Various engineering colleges in India also offer direct admission to ITI diploma holders in second year of the course.

Entrance Exams- There are several entrance exams in India at national and state level. Some private institutes like SRM University, BITS Pilani, VIT University etc conduct their separate entrance test.
